I CAN'T Art Activity - Kindergarten GearUp

This activity helps children understand how they can accomplish difficult activities.

Activity Details

Prepare paper with “I CAN”T” printed in white crayon.
Give children watercolor paint to paint over the words. Letters magically appear.
Discuss what it says. Have children share examples of things they can’t do.
Prepare paper with “YET” printed in white crayon.
Give children watercolor paint to paint over the words. Letters will magically appear.
Discuss how “I can’t yet” means they will learn how to do something.
Have them choose one thing they said they couldn’t do and discuss what they can do to achieve that goal.
